The call originator sends a destination number to Digital IP Voice for STIR-SHAKEN treatment — we return a signed, certified token ready for insertion into your call's SIP header.

The KISS Description of the STIR-SHAKEN Process

The call originator sends a destination number, via a MySQL data link, to Digital IP Voice for STIR-SHAKEN treatment. Here is what happens then:

  1. Digital IP Voice receives the MySQL data query from you.
  2. We add a "verified caller-ID" from our ANI inventory (this can also be your existing ANIs, ported to our CLEC).
  3. We produce our Service Provider signature certificate, generated by the national STIR-SHAKEN administrator and accepted by every major U.S. telephone carrier that has turned up STIR-SHAKEN on the termination side.
  4. We return the MySQL data to you for insertion into your call's SIP header. Our API lets you add, edit, or delete any ANI in your account.
  5. The destination call receiver sees a verified message on their caller ID screen. If the token is B or C level, the receiver may see a different message.
